1. Importance of the initial phone conversation

The first step in understanding your needs occurs at the initial phone conversation. We aim to ask the right questions to ensure that we can begin to understand your needs and help ensure the entire process runs smoothly and efficiently.

To help us help you, please consider the following:

  • How were you referred to us?
  • What is the scope of the project?
  • Do you have a budget in mind?
  • Do you wish to implement in phases or all at once?

2. The site visit

This is a no cost one to two hour conversation where we encourage you to engage us with your thoughts, ideas and concerns with regard to your outdoor space and how it relates to your home, lifestyle and what your long-term goals are. We will listen carefully to you to get a true understanding of how your home and landscape will ultimately be used. We encourage you to have pictures, sketches and property plans to help us accurately assess and develop a scope of work that is right for you.

3. Recommendations and design

We will then recommend ideas and solutions to help you achieve your goals and ensure long-term success.

For larger projects we will recommend utilizing our design team to create plans that are appropriate to the nature and scope of work you are looking for.

If you already know what you are looking for and have been through the landscape design process, we can progress directly to creating a detailed budget and scheduling your project.

4. Your project

Once the landscape plan and/or proposals are presented, refined and approved by you, a contract will be prepared outlining a deposit and a payment schedule. Your project will be scheduled, materials will be ordered, and any necessary permits will be acquired. You will be provided with a tentative start and finish date. Your project will have designated supervisors and foreman to implement your project from start to finish.

5. After care and maintenance

After your project is completed, we recommend an after care program to ensure the success of all plant materials. Proper care after installation is key to the maturity and long-term value of your landscape. We offer an experienced maintenance staff that can maintain your new or mature landscape all year long. We have both residential and commercial landscape maintenance departments dedicated to making sure your yard looks its best.
